North Atlantic Welcomes International Delegation to Tour Green Energy Hub Site

Come By Chance, NL – North Atlantic was proud to host an international delegation at its planned Green Energy Hub site in Come By Chance, where attendees were given a look at the company’s ambitious vision for advancing green hydrogen projects in the province. North Atlantic CEO Ted Lomond highlighted the tour as a reflection of the growing global interest in Newfoundland and Labrador’s renewable energy potential. “Being able to welcome a delegation representing interests from around the world to this site tour demonstrates the incredible opportunity we have here,” said Lomond. “Newfoundland and Labrador is being recognized globally as a green hydrogen and renewable energy hotspot. We have all the right ingredients — strong wind resources for clean electricity generation, excellent shipping routes with proximity to major markets, existing infrastructure, and the political will and stability needed to foster long-term growth.”

The Green Energy Hub will build on North Atlantic’s history, expertise, and people to:

  • Develop, advance, and execute green hydrogen projects, with a focus on exporting clean energy products worldwide.
  • Harness our natural advantages across 10,000 hectares of land — a wind farm supplying energy to our hydrogen plant which will produce almost 100,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and its derivatives each year and create over 9,000 job-years of employment
  • Foster research and training opportunities for participants in the green hydrogen industry, helping to develop the workforce and expertise needed for future growth.
  • Act as a focal point for energy export, positioning Newfoundland and Labrador as a leader in global energy transition efforts.
  • Serve as a catalyst for domestic hydrogen distribution and use, ensuring the province itself benefits from the transition to renewable energy.
