At North Atlantic, we believe in the future of Newfoundland, and we believe it lies in the heads, hearts, and hands of our students. Each year North Atlantic supports high school seniors with a scholarship fund up to $65,000. We know there is no limit to what Newfoundlanders can achieve.
These scholarships are awarded to 27 high school graduates across Newfoundland & Labrador who are attending Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic full-time, directly following high school graduation.
A total of $25,000 is awarded to first year MUN students based on academic achievement. Eleven North Atlantic scholarships are valued at $2,000 each, and one scholarship for the top overall student is $3,000. Another 15, $1,000 scholarships are awarded to CNA students province wide.
Applications are not required for North Atlantic MUN and CNA scholarships. Both institutions select winners from its registrar's office based on information provided by high schools. Lists of top scoring Grade 12 students are sent directly to MUN and CNA. Scholarship winners are chosen from those lists.
North Atlantic's internal FAMILY scholarships show support for our employee's children. To qualify for an award, students must be direct dependants of North Atlantic employees and enrolled in a secondary educational institute on a full-time basis. Up to $25,000 will be distributed equally among all eligible applicants (max - $1000 per student).
Details and application forms for North Atlantic Family Awards are available to employees from Human Resources and must be submitted no later than August 31 of each year.
Each year, North Atlantic hosts a scholarship reception to honour winners from across Newfoundland and Labrador. We take this opportunity
to show our pride and to wish them the best for the future, Each year we award up to 60 scholarships totalling
up to $65,000.
