Right here in Newfoundland, more than 500 highly skilled North Atlantic employees work side-by-side to make and market some of the cleanest, lowest-sulphur fuels in the world. And we export those clean fuels around the world through our direct access to major shipping lanes that connect us to global markets and suppliers.

Over the years, millions of dollars have been invested in our refinery. These growing investments help ensure an even safer, cleaner, and efficient operation. As a result, we are enjoying our strongest safety performance in history and we've slashed sulphur dioxide emissions more than 80 per cent. Both employee safety and environmental protection are critical factors in our business--factors we take very seriously and strive to improve on every day.

Much of North Atlantic's multi million dollar investments focus on upgrading and replacing outdated and aging refinery equipment -- investments that go a long way to protect people and the planet.
