$5500 FOR THE JANEWAY TELETHON
NORTH ATLANTIC’S SAFE WORK PRACTICES GENERATE $5,500 FOR THE JANEWAY TELETHON
(Sunday, June 7, 2010) North Atlantic and its employees donated $5,500 to the Janeway, during the hospital’s annual fundraiser telethon. This year's donation draws from North Atlantic’s Safety for Charity fund, and direct from employee payroll deductions.
“Because of our employees’ outstanding safety performance, this year's Safety for Charity fund is at an all-time-high. For each day that we work injury-free, our company deposits funds into a charity account. These funds are then donated to charity twice a year. Since 2001, our Safety for Charity fund has donated nearly $40,000 to the Janeway Children’s Hospital,” says Gloria Warren Slade, North Atlantic’s communication manager.
